If I interview for two positions but I want one job more than the other, how do I handle a potential job offer?

Tomorrow I have two interviews at two different companies, #1 and #2.

I'd love to work for either company, but #2 already feels like a better fit for me overall, and their pay is fairly competitive (#1 has not mentioned their hourly pay). What if I get an offer from #1 before I hear back from #2? I've never been in this situation before and was wondering if someone has advice.
