I found a really cool internship that I'd like to apply for. I wrote my cover letter and updated my resume, but the main thing that makes me think I won't get it is that I'm a high school student (I will graduate in a month though) and the internship is for college students. I planned to start college in the summer, so I'll be a (real) college student when I start, though I don't know if I should include that in case it makes it seem like I'll be too busy to work. I've been taking courses at a local university (which I included) so I don't know if qualifies me a bit more. How can I best market myself to get this internship?
Thanks!
P.S. If anyone has cover letter tips or can direct me somewhere that does that'd be great. Mine is pretty trash as I just talk about my schoolwork, how my interests pertain to the internship, and how I spent a lot of time helping my teachers with "office tasks." I've never had a job before, so I don't have a lot to say.
