Graduate students who got another degree to change careers - why does it seem hard to find internships unless you're an undergrad?

It may vary from program to program but I'm thinking of marketing, business, data analytics, etc. - I look at job listings at start-ups, large consulting firms, large tech companies, private equity firms, software/cloud companies, major advertising agencies...companies like Blackrock, Salesforce, and every major bank and software company has an office here.

But most of the time, it appears these companies, even the large ones, are all focused on BA programs when offering internships - e.g., training and job experiences for students hoping to use school work to enter an industry.

I am in a large Northeastern city and tech hub...it floors me.

What is the point of getting "more skills" if internships - "the new entry level jobs" - are limited to students in a bachelor's or BS program? Are they not difficult enough to get?

You can't really presume to have access to work-related experience in fieldwork either.

How does one negotiate this?
