Acting uninterested during the phone interview

Just had a phone interview earlier where it seems like HR were gauging my desperateness to only lowball ( minimum wage pits ) at the very end.

Should you act uninterested during the phone interview right before they ask you the dreaded, "what is your salary expectations"? Should I become an actor and give my best Oscar performance in the very beginning nonchalantly?
