I've always been very hard-working and relatively successful, and the way that's translated into my adult life has been pushing 40+ hours/week at work while balancing 18 credit hours per semester, schooling through summer, and taking care of my husband while he had cancer. I haven't done much by way of volunteering or extra-curriculars, although right now I'm helping to found an organization at my campus. My GPA is okay - not great.
I quit my job recently due to different reasons, and I'm a semester shy of finishing my degree. I plan on continuining my masters in the next year, but while I'm searching for another job, it occurs to me that my resume is not so impressive. /I/ know that I'm a hardworker, but I don't feel I have good ways to translate that to my resume at this moment.
What are things I can be doing throughout the next year to broaden my skillset, experience, and to brighten up my resume?
