Six Weeks at New Job, Haven't Heard from Boss Yet

Is this normal practice? I work remote. Sent multiple emails to talk. I cannot get a response from boss.

My job role is nothing like what I interviewed for and have been handed off to an iron fist type team lead. I've been given multiple deadlines already while still learning and been told to just get it done with zero training.

Safe to say, this sucks. I'm ready to quit even without another job lined up.

If I do, you think I need to give any notice? I'm leaning on making the resignation effective immediately.
