What’s a good next step for someone trying to leave a kitchen?

I’m 20 years old and going back to college next semester, and I have been at my current job for almost 3 years. This is really my only job experience prior to some culinary training back in high school, but I’m not really sure how to market myself to other industries besides kitchens. Should I apply for a random job and just try to build my resume, or focus on learning a skill?
