I finished a degree in environmental science a couple of years ago and since then I have worked a bunch of vaguely related casual jobs. I recently moved interstate for family and have been looking for work, there are a lot more opportunities here and I've had quite a few interviews. There's also a lot of opportunities to study so I applied for a few grad school courses as well. This week I've been offered two jobs as well as two courses and the way I see it I have two options. Option no. 1: I've been offered a job running a science club for kids. The pay is great but the hours a few and irregular. I've worked at a school for 6 months and teaching is something that interests me. I've also been accepted to study a part time cert in STEM education so I could work this job whilst studying and make a career out of it. Option no. 2: I've been offered a job in land management. It's full time and decent pay but hard work and long hours. It's more inline with my interest in environmental conservation and would be doing good work but is all physical labour and not intellectually stimulating. I've also been offered a place studying a masters of conservation biology starting mid year. If I took this job I'd plan to stay only six months, save money, learn some things and then either ask for fewer hours or quit to study.
I'm torn. The first option is easy and offers me more job opportunities further down the track but the second is what I'm more passionate about. Please help me weigh up my options. Thanks
