Tomorrow I’ll be having an interview for an organisation about doing administration work, and I was wondering if it’s as soul destroying as everyone makes it out to be. And as a follow up, when I get this job (which I hope that I do) will there be anything more to the role, or will it be the same routine of doing database building and filing? I don’t want the company to add more stuff for me to do because I quite frankly don’t want to get too established in the company. It’s quite monotonous anyway, but I’d rather just keep a low profile. That’s what my last job at a Hotel did, and it got depressing really fast.
The reason I ask is because I just plan to work at this company for around a year? That’s wishful thinking, but I’m quite ambivalent about my career path, and I only applied for his job because I really need the experience (not to mention the money). I plan to travel by myself to either Japan, or Canada for a few months next year, so this is the case of just wanting some dough and something to put on my CV.
This will also be my first ‘Office Job’ so I’m not too sure what to expect. I’m only 18 and this isn’t something I probably want to do forever..
Thanks for reading this drivel, and please feel free to share any thoughts or tips. Dunka!
