Hey, guys. I'm in a bit of a pickle. I currently nanny four days a week, and I get paid to care-give when my grandfather travels, which is usually plenty to cover my rent and all of my bills, but my grandfather just had to cancel a two week trip at the end of the month, which is literally a $1,000 blow to my budget. The problem is I still have obligations to fill with him that make my schedule a little too tricky for a traditionally scheduled job, but I won't have enough to pay for the things that are coming up this month with that much of a pay cut. So I guess I'm just looking for some good ideas for very flexible evening or online work? I don't even know where to start looking.
I know that things like Ubereats or Shipt would be a good idea, but I have unfortunately let my insurance lapse because of another money emergency, and now those are out since you have to have proof of current insurance to even apply, and I don't get paid again for another week and a half from my nannying gig.
I considered just getting a serving job since that's what most of my other experience is in, but his travel schedule picks up so much at the end of next month that I would hate to commit to something I couldn't keep up since the caregiving is so intense. Which is where the flexibility comes in- I'd love to hang on to whatever solution comes up in case there's ever another lull like this in my pay again so I'm not in panic mode all over again.
If it makes any difference, I am just outside Nashville, although if I even had any idea of what to search for I could do the "whatever jobs" in my area Google search myself. Thank you guys!!
