Is it bad practice to follow up once more if you haven't heard back from an interview you thought went well?

My wife had a phone interview, went great - got called in for an in-person interview after and she thought it also went great.

She sent a follow-up email to the HR manager who initially reached out to her 6 business days after the interview.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to follow up again maybe in 2 weeks from now? My first instinct is to not follow up again since she never received an answer to the initial follow-up.
