I have an issue with correlating work done/experience gained with job titles that aren't even remotely close... for example I've been working in Construction with job titles like installer but during that time I did so much more than just the hands on work. I mean I was doing safety auditing, working directly with clients and general contractors, supervisory work like time sheets and payroll work, account receivables, invoicing, using Microsoft Office daily for a multitude of small projects, organizing work flow and a ton of other tasks! I have a crazy amount of experience in mining and industrial environments and doing administrative tasks while still doing the actual construction work.
Looking over my resume though I can't seem to get it all down without having it look ridiculous. I mean I have always ended up in these acting lacking positions where I am doing the work but don't have the title. It's so frustrating. I'm trying to break into more administrative work/support roles because I cannot keep doing the 12 hours slogging away doing back breaking tasks. But without titled positions it's extremely difficult to substantiate my experience doing these roles/tasks.
Any suggestions on how to get through this?
