So the story is that I interviewed on 1/23 for a job in the midwest. I currently live out west. I don't necessarily need the job, but it's with a company I have always wanted to work for, I'd be a lot closer to family, and they paid to fly me out there so what the hell, right?
I went out and did the interview, it wasn't my best because I was running on like 2 hours of sleep due to delayed flights and other BS during the trip there. The interview seriously lasted like 30 minutes at most, one of the managers even walked out to use the restroom during the interview. I was stunned by that. Now's been over 2 weeks and nothing. I emailed one of the recruiters on Friday asking for a status update and no reply. The job status online says "accepting applications", that my submission is "complete", and I still have the option of withdrawing my application.
I do have a different recruiter I could email for an update but should I? Have they already written me off as a candidate? I guess I'm looking for a similar cases of people being ghosting or thinking they have been when something happened after this length of time. I find it hard to believe they spent all that money on me just to write me off after 1 joke of an interview for a job I'm easily qualified for. It is a massive corporation though so maybe $1,500 or whatever it is they spent doesn't mean much.
