Been looking for a new job since the start of the year. Several final round interviews are now starting to overlap along with some offers. Given that "a bird in the hand" is nothing to sneeze at I'm curious how people deal with the following these days.
Let's say I accept job A that starts on date A, because they need me to say yes/no by a certain date, with some final round interviews with jobs B and C already scheduled for after date A. Let's say further that I start working job A for a week or so, then an offer comes from job B and it's better. Similarly, if I left job A to go to B and then job C comes with yet another offer with the same kind of "staggered" timeline.
I don't want to yank anybody's chain, but it's not really my fault the process becomes staggered. It feels to me like it's just the nature of the beast these days. Curious to hear other input and/or comments.
