Hello everyone, I just want to remind everyone to be careful about who you let submit your resume. Also, Be cautious yourself as to not double submit to a position.
If you are actively looking for a job and putting in applications and working with recruiters, build a list of your submissions. This will greatly help you and the recruiters your working with.
I had a person I was helping look for a position. This person told me all the places he had personally applied to and the companies he had been submitted to. After reading this long list of companies and positions on the spreadsheet I had found that he double submitted several times (he had over 80 submissions in 3 months). When this happens a manager will normally just disqualify that candidate from further consideration and it will also be noted in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This will show up every time they consider looking at this person for a position. In some companies, it hurt the candidate.
This can happen when companies repost positions on job boards and it looks like a different job, or when different recruiters tell you about the position and don't disclose the client. It also happens when you put in so many applications that you just forget where you applied.
So I just wanted to remind everyone to be careful when job hunting. GOOD LUCK!!!
