I honestly feel so down about myself right now. It makes me question if my previous internships and side jobs were worth it. I graduated last May with a degree in professional/business writing. I had two internships in HR and production, and I worked multiple other food service jobs and one online job through college.
Today I got rejected for another internship. An internship that’s open to juniors up to graduates within a year. I can’t even get that. On LinkedIn it said that only four people applied, including me. Four. How am I supposed to find a job when I can’t even compete with three people? I feel like my serving jobs are causing people to toss my resume in the garbage.
What was the point of graduating if I can’t even get an internship. It’s not even an entry-level position. I’ve spent countless hours on my resume and have been creating unique cover letters for positions I really like and still nothing.
I’m beginning to feel like the rumors about Las Vegas being full of blatant nepotism are true.
