Advice for getting your first job

I really need some advice, I’m a college student in Australia and I really need a job. I’ve been applying to jobs since high school but I’ve never been successful. Since then I’ve been applying online and handing my resumes in at stores in person for about 3 years and they’ve all lead to nothing.

I’m currently 18 and really want to get my first job before it’s to late, also I’m a broke college student who desperately needs money and Centrelink has been no help. Please give me any advice because I feel like I’ve tried everything.
