Company A I am currently a plant manager. I am close (verbal promise) to getting an offer for a company. The company is growing, moderately strong, has strong leaders and this would be a larger role. More like a general manager.
Company B I just got phone screened for a dream company. This would be a plant manager position, 20k less per year, very strong culture, very successful (EBITA above 20%), and a place that has very strong benefits for all.
If I had offers in front of me on both, I would probably go with company B (less salary, but about 10k more in benefits). However I like company A as well. They just are less profitable. I told company B the truth about company A. The HR person went from saying the timeline for an interview was 2 weeks to can you do Monday?
So questions: Is it worth it for me to try to delay signing the pending offer and attempt to pursue company B?
Am I bat shit crazy for wanting more responsibility, but being more interested in company B?
So many more questions.
