Stationed overseas w/spouse for 4 years & unable to work. How do I address this in my resume?

In short. Hubby works for DOD and we are stationed overseas. We are returning to the US in the fall. How do I address this on my resume? I have never had such a gap before. My worry is, while I can address this gap in a cover letter often times a resume may get electronically kicked and a date gap would certainly raise a red flag.

While on sabbatical I took the opportunity to extensively travel, focus on my writing and attend numerous classes and lectures. (not helpfully in fine art) as well as attend a Project Management course via UMUC where I am now enrolled.

I currently hold a BA in English & Allied Language Arts, an MA in English Literature, and an M.Ed. Administration & Supervision

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
