I am about to graduate from a top business school with a degree in Information Systems, and would ideally like a career in IT that bridges my business and tech skills (a mix of qualitative and quantitative work).
However, I am no programmer. I do have basic knowledge of Python, R, and SQL, but by no means am I proficient at either. I do enjoy statistics and data analytics, but am told that these professions usually look for STEM majors. Even if they did give me a chance, I reckon that my lack of proficiency and interest in coding will set me at a disadvantage.
Any ideas as to what careers would be fit? I find Product Management and Project Management interesting, but there are no entry level positions for this. Perhaps a transition from Business Analytics would work out a couple years down the road? Any other positions as I look to set my foot in the door?
I currently have experience as a Data Analyst, however I mainly used Excel (so not really a data analyst?)
Any advice would be extremely appreciated.
