Two months ago, I had just started job-hunting. I interviewed with Company A, and it went well. They quickly extended me an offer. I turned it down. Although it seemed like a solid opportunity, I didn't feel great about a team member I would work close with, the pay was so-so, and the offer came early in my job-hunting, so I wanted to keep exploring. I had just quit a toxic situation, so I wanted to be sure. Anyway, the hiring manager really liked me, as we had a nice connection. We emailed back and forth with thoughts and well wishes for each other. I told her money was the main issue, and unfortunately they had offered me the max. I didn't mention the team member I felt doubts about.
Two months later, I've since interviewed with many companies. I am mentally exhausted. After all this time, it turned out Company A really was the best option. I just felt anxious about settling for the first offer, and wanted to explore more. Had I interviewed with Company A a month later, I probably would've accepted them.
The past couple months, I've noticed the job posting has been renewed a couple of times. I'm thinking about emailing the hiring manager with a simple "How's it going?" sort of email, and seeing if she brings up the role again. With no expectations, of course.
I have zero idea how to handle this. Any thoughts? And, even if they extend the offer to me again, wouldn't it potentially be awkward with everyone I had interviewed with? Should I just forget about it and move on?
