Good afternoon all
A couple of weeks ago, I went for a job, which i really really want, and had an interview a week or so later (7 December). They advised they were hoping to make a decision by Friday 14th and that I'd hear either way.
By the afternoon of Friday 14, I had had no response, so I dropped the HR woman an email to ask if she could put me out of my misery either way (obviously, i worded it a lot more subtly than that).
I've since today had an email from another HR contact at the company, advising the woman who had been dealing with me previously is on nnual leave until Wednesday but "she will close out all interview feedback on her return".
Is this them saying my rejection will be delayed by a couple of days? Why not just say "you've been unsuccessful, but we'll be in touch further to discuss why".
Any opinions much appreciated.
