Should I not include my current job on my resume when I have yet to learn or get hands on experience with anything?

I'll try to make this short. I graduated in May 2018, had a job lined up for after graduation working at a tech firm. I've been at this job for 7 months and haven't had any hands on work. No trainings. No shadow time. Nothing. All I have been doing for the last few months is applying to internal projects in the hopes that I'll get picked.

I recently started working on some side coding projects during work hours just to have something to do and something to talk about if I ever get an interview for an internal project. I am also teaching my self some new stuff like SQL, python and GIT.

I have a few questions. I am thinking about quitting and getting my resume up to date but I can't think of anything to put under my current job. I am thinking about leaving it off but 7 months without a job post graduation, would that look bad? Or should I try and cobble something together since even if there isn't much under this job on my resume it still shows that I was 'working'?
