Posted this in another subreddit but need all the info I can get so posting it here also (if that is okay?) :)
So just an little backstory, I am a 26 year old Norwegian that have been living and working in the Philippines for about 5 years before I decided to change things up and move to Cambodia where I have been making a living by working freelance via my laptop for 3 months-ish now while also searching here and there via LinkedIn for jobs here in Cambodia, and a few days ago a lady called me up and wants me to come to a interview for a position as a "Textile Production Engineer", something I dont know SH*T about, I have never even been inside a textile factory before in my life.... :p
It also says that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, and they have my resume and everything so I find it strange they want me to come for an interview but, what do I got to lose? So I figured I'll go and just do my best.
As for my previous jobs it has mostly been call center jobs and I have also had my own retail business in the Philippines with 3 employees and a separate payroll business doing the payroll and taxes for the business, but it didn't work out since me and my partner disagreed on too much so we shut it down. As for education I have studied basic electronics, household electronics, aircraft mechanics while finally settling on a bachelors degree in computer and electronics.
So what I have come down to is just to google the sh*t out of everything that it says on the list and try to memorize as much as possible. It says 3-5 years experience needed, so that part I cant really google my way out of, and also try to make a perfect first impression, answer quick without any "uhm, hmm, ehhh" and just try to sound like I know what am talking about. I figured that if I actually get the job then I will just learn by doing like any other job.
So, yea, can anyone recommend something to help me nail this and get a job I have ZERO experience, education or anything for?
