Had a really strange interview today. It was the behavioral part (your strengths, weakness, greatest accomplishments, etc.). For an hour the two interviewers (one was taking notes of a laptop) was asking me rapid fire questions about each of my last 5 jobs (basically last 10+ years of employment). The format was off putting, felt like an interrogation. But the really strange part was they were asking for names of people I worked with. It felt really awkward because one minute you're asking, "I left because I didn't like my manager..." Then the next minute you are giving your manager's name. I mean they literally where asking for the actual names of my coworkers, all the way back to jobs I had 10+ years ago. Seems like basic privacy and confidentiality would make interviewers not ask for names of coworkers. Am I reading too much into this? Or do interviewers actually want names of your coworkers?
