I’m an 18 (almost 19) year old female from Australia and I’m finding it extremely difficult to get a part time or casual job.
I began applying for jobs back when I was 16 (Almost 17) and still to this day have gotten no where.
I’ve been to multiple interviews and I always think I am making a great impression yet still nothing...
I’ve even put time into researching the best ways to answer questions so that I make a good impression and seem professional, yet I have no clue where I am going wrong.
I’m starting to really lose hope and it’s causing my mental health to become bad. I want to be self reliant and independent so this is impacting me badly.
I would say my resume is quite good. I have attended some workshops my University had to offer as well so that I could improve it.
I’ve got prior experience in food (my family use to own a restaurant when I was younger) and I have a lot of great achievements from high school as well.
Now I’m even looking for volunteer opportunities just to keep myself busy and get some other experience.
It’s summer here and I’m slowly losing my mind with nothing to do.
Anyone have any advice on what I should do or why this is happening to me?
