I've been working this at shitty job bagging groceries since late July. Finally got hired on campus recently and I submitted my two weeks notice on Nov 28 with my last day listed as Dec 12.
Well, our highly questionable management releases the schedule (Sunday-Saturday) only 2 days in advance. So I looked at it today, and I should've been cut off on Wednesday, but I was also scheduled to work Friday/Saturday.
The manager who makes our schedule is a deplorable human being, so it's not a huge surprise. I'm not quite sure how to handle it, but I really have zero interest in speaking to management about this. I already handed my written notice directly to our head manager, and upon doing so he confirmed my last available date, gave his congrats to me for finding something I enjoy, and we went on with our days.
At what point do I stop including retail experience on my resume? My new job on campus synergies with my major, and has nothing to do with retail, so maybe none of this matters in the first place - the only reason I didn't quit on the spot is that I was being transparent with my new boss and we agreed a notice would be best. Regardless, it would be so stupid if I was unable to put this job on a resume, simply because of a manager who can't perform simple tasks
