Got offered a job but I need references, no contact w/ previous employer?

This will (hopefully) be my second ever job, as a current college student. I only worked for my previous employer for about 3 months because I found the workplace to be very toxic, but I was on good terms with the supervisors. The hiring manager for this new job mentioned that he'd like at least 2 references, one of them being from my previous employer, but I have no way to contact any of my supervisors short of showing up at the building. I would just go, but I'd like to get the references in ASAP and due to the holidays, it'll be too busy at my former workplace and I may not even get acknowledged if I show up. Is it ok to leave out my previous supervisor as a reference? Should I risk it and just leave the business phone number anyways? I've been trying hard to find a new job for a while, and I'm excited at the prospect of this opportunity and don't want to screw it up.
