Does pre-employment background check scan for past temporary positions?

Hi all,

I am planning on undergoing a pre-employment background check. In the past, I have done temporary jobs only to get asked to leave after 1 month. Does anyone have personal experience with putting this history for the check up? Would you put it down for the employment check?

I hear that if you don't put it down, it won't go against you. But I have also heard that if you have a criminal background and don't list it, then it goes against you too. Please feel free to share your knowledge.
