Advice on what to include in an email to check up in between two summers of a coop (repost because no answer yesterday)

Last summer I worked a coop at this company and they offered me the job for this upcoming summer as well. I was advised to send an email to check up but I'm unsure what exactly to say?

Obviously I should ask if I still have the job offer for the summer but I'm unsure in regards to anything else.

"Hope everything's going well, excited to come back this summer, hope that (work I helped with) is progressing" etc.
