Would construction companies hire a scrawny guy as a laborer?

In my other post (which I deleted) I was given the advice that I should become a laborer for construction but I am naturally thin/small boned and not strong looking. In the job descriptions they say that it is very physically demanding, so would they even hire someone like me?
