I graduated college in April I was hired a little over a month ago for a full time position that’s in my career field. It’s exactly the kind of job i want to do! But this position was just created and in the first person my boss hired for this kind of job. So we’re building this position together but it’s frustrating because I don’t have enough to do and it’s driving me crazy sitting there and doing nothing. It makes me feel useless.
Pros!: it’s a laid back job. I don’t have to interact with people very often. I get to wear whatever I want. My hours are super flexible. There are SOME projects I’ve done that I really have enjoyed. And when I’m assigned a project I usually like it a lot. It’s 10 minutes away from my house. I like the pay.
Cons: I’m in a lunch room for an office until the new office is finished being built. I feel like I don’t ever have enough to do so I feel useless a lot. There’s a lot of disorganization in the offices as a whole and no one ever knows what’s going on.
Am I complaining for no reason or do I have a reason to be looking for another job? I want to be challenged and use what I’ve learned. Not sit there and try to make work for myself
