I recently quit my job where I had worked for almost three years. Financially, I am not in a great position but can make it for about a month without work before I'll be broke/deeper in debt. I have more than a decade of supervision experience as well as a deep understanding of IT work which I did for about five years.
I am wondering if it would pay for me to find a temporary job (grocery store, gas station, food service) while I look for another position or if I should devote my days to finding a permanent position somewhere. I've never been in this position before as the two times I left a job in the last fifteen years I was headed somewhere else as a promotional opportunity. It makes me nervous as at this point I look very overqualified to start an entry level position but feel under-qualified for senior management positions. Any advice is appreciated!
