Scared to ask for sick day

In a weird situation right now. I have a bad sinus infection and have work in the morning. I would ask to work from home but I already asked this last Friday when the infection was developing; I ended up coming in regardless. Asking now just seems like it'd make me desperate or without reason.

Now my coworker who is also new to the job with me (we're both 2 months in and in a probationary period) decided to work from home yesterday so I feel like it'd look extra bad for me to not come in, especially cause I'm giving same day notice. Anyone got any advice?
