I just need some thoughts on this. I applied for a receptionist position at the college I attended and it's been almost a month with no answer. The thing is however is that this process has been taking a super long time in regards to hearing back. I emailed one of the two people that interviewed me in regards of an update on the position and told me that they are preparing to make their decision and to stay tuned. I then check this Monday that they updated my application status to Under Consideration, the update was made on Nov. 9th (Friday). It's been almost one week since that update and almost 2 weeks from hearing back from the email response. However, it's been almost one month since I had my interview with them. I'm debating on pretending to have a job offer to create some sort of leverage to allow them to give me a response and to assure that they are the people I want to work with. At the same time, I don't want to potentially fuck up the chance I have to work with them. I really want to work with these people and I have been applying to other places, this would be the dream position for me as it would pave the way for me to continue my life at a steady pace.
What do.
