Training someone with more experience?

I have been at my new job almost three months in a brand new field for me. The other girl in the same position as me has been there about five months but worked in the field for close to a decade before coming here. I have always been quick to pick things up in my jobs and I am a high performer.

Since I started we have been hearing about how we aren't meeting the production goals our department used to make and how we need to increase productivity. The thing is, now that I'm trained I realize that I am holding up my end and meeting about 60% of the department goals for two of us. The problem is, we are still only hitting 75% of what they want us to get done.

Last night I worked late to try to get our numbers up this week. My supervisor has been constantly reminding me of our production goals as if I alone am responsible for it. As I was leaving I told my super that I wanted to clarify that the goals were for us to meet together, not individually as this weeks 100% of the completed product we put out was my work but we are going to hit less than 65% of goal. She confirmed this and could tell something was bugging me so she looked me in the eye and said, "Say it."

So I spilled and showed her that all the work done this week is mine and explained that I don't understand how we aren't meeting our goals if I can put out 60+% on my own. It turned into a half hour conversation about how we can train my co worker and her asking my advice on how to fix it. There's the possibility that I could be efficiency training someone who was hired for her experience.

Any advice on how to go about approaching this so as not to come off insulting? I don't want my coworker to feel like I don't value her experience but I am tired of my department not meeting our production goals with no real explanation.
