Throwaway.
I currently work full-time in the field I went to school for, but raking up debt on my cc’s after moving to a new city with no furniture had me looking for a part-time job to help pay off the debt faster.
At the time of the interview I was completeley transparent and clearly stated my availability which would be Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. And possibly some other days after 5PM, but no guarantee. They made it sound like they could work around my schedule and got offered the job on the spot. Cool. Orientation comes and I find out I have been scheduled for a total of almost 40 hours next week, obviously on the days when I specifically said I won’t be available. I haven’t said anything at the time, but the more I think about it the more I get pissed and have no will to start working there after they completely ignored what I said about my schedule.
What to do?
Job is in retail (of course), clothing store.
