Me and my girlfriend are wanting to move to Seattle from Houston and I have some concerns. I'm currently making $35,000 a year as a phone customer service agent for a financial company so I'd be needing at least $55,000 to make up the difference in cost of living, but was looking for $60,000. We were planning on moving up there in August when our lease ends of course pending me getting a job. I graduated from a state school in May of 2017 with a BBA in Marketing and Finance and did two and a half years of marketing with the athletic department during college. I had a couple of questions.
1.) If I can't move until August when should I start applying?
2.) Is it possible to get a salary bump like that?
3.) What's the best way to get a job in a new place especially if you can't travel there?
4.) What are some quick and cheap things I can do to give me more skills and make me more attractive using my degree?
Sorry if i forgot anything I'm writing this on my gf's shitty chromebook
