Is there such a thing as taking a backwards step?

Ok, so for the past couple of months it's obvious to me working as a web co-ordiantor in someone else's home is eating me alive. I'm not any kind of manager nor comfortable with the open-ness I'm being demanded in such a small space & my stress levels are through the roof, and my health has gone out the window in order to try and tolerate it.

Unfortunately due to parents giving me this job, and...it's close to the family home they think I'm telling porkies even though it's affecting me. If I want to go back to something that's a lot more laidback - or familiar - they disapprove. If it means I have to move out of home then so be it, since I think I'm rather well prepared. Dunno how I'll get along living with someone though.

Considering that apart from the 3 months of the current job, my work history is nothing but warehousing & hospitality. If I do want to eventually want to be part of a digital agency once I've sorted out, as well as deciding what I'd be working on within an agency, is it a turn off if all I've done is something less stressful, even if the desire is there?

All I want to do is go back to somewhere where I can leave work behind and forget about it the next day, and just be part of a welcoming team. Picking, hospitality, data entry, whatever else is out there. Also I'm not really sure if I really want my current boss as a reference.
