Can having an empty LinkedIn make you look bad, and do more harm than good? I made an account several years ago and never touched it. I don't have any real connections. No one I personally know uses LinkedIn. I have only ever made money through small freelance jobs or minimum wage retail jobs, and my friends are the same. I have a bachelor's degree and added like 2 teachers from school, that's about it. I am desperately seeking a job better than retail, and here on Reddit I see people mention LinkedIn a lot, but I don't see the point of it unless you actually have connections? Do you add random people that you don't know just to fill it out?
