How to apply to far away jobs?

My girlfriend is finishing up school in Georgia and I'm currently in Wisconsin. LDR can be rough n stuff but that's not the main point. I currently have something going on here but am looking to apply there in order to close the gap between us. Any recommendations on how to do this when most jobs I see want someone more local to the area? I'm not in the financial position to be moving without knowing I have a job but it feels like I can't get a job without moving.
