Not a troll. Just someone who’s pretty jaded from a shitty job search, and wants to avoid one ever being this horrible again.
I’m still in the midst of a terrible job search process (though it’ll hopefully lead to something before the year ends... things have been looking up lately), and I never want to be without a job for the better part of an entire year again. I haven’t worked since February, and to say that it’s depressing and has completely destroyed my confidence doesn’t do the situation justice.
What’s the best timeline on starting a new job hunt while still new at a job? If it takes months to get companies to respond with interview offers, then it seems like you’d need to start job searching about 5-6 months before you anticipate being out of a job. But it’s also impossible to predict when that would be. What do?
