Following up after case assignment and interview (without specific date from recruiter)

Wondering when I should reach out to follow up about my status for a job i really want.

I applied about couple month ago, got phone screen about 3 weeks ago, finished case assignment about a week ago. When submitting assignment I asked about timeline and was told they would be in contact with me soon to talk about steps forward.

I think I did pretty well on both and seemed to have good interactions with the recruiter.

Any advice for how long to wait before reaching out and how to reach out? They didn't give a set date to get a response so I don't want to annoy them but do want to know if I'm still being considered.
