Ethanol plant work

Have a friend who has been working at an ethanol plant the last 6 weeks and claims he's just raking the money in. I saw a pay stub and he's making over 2500 a week before taxes. I'm just curious if anyone in this line of work has anything good or bad to say about it? From what it sounds like its a seasonal job and you follow the company around to the next job. Its a lot of traveling from where we live but that isn't a huge factor for me.
