Employer treated me like I am a piece of dirt. Should I follow up?

On Friday, I met with a friend who recently got placed by his employer. I have been looking for a job for the past 4 months so I asked him to introduce me to his employer. The employer was nice to talk to at first. He asked me a bunch of questions about my background and a few technical questions. As I answered the questions confidently, he said I have a knack for 2 technologies but might need some brushing up in the technology he would provide training for. He also promised that he would contact me on Monday for a follow-up.

I tried calling the employer on his cell phone in order to follow up with him and the call goes to voicemail. I tried texting him for a follow-up but didn't hear back. Since I wasn't sure if I had the correct cell number of the employer, I went to the Employer's office and waited patiently for him to come out of the office just so I can get his correct phone number. He tells me "I don't appreciate you coming to the office asking if the decision is made, you can look for some other company if you're in such a hurry!". I apologized to the employer for my behavior and left the office soul-crushed. Before I left the office, however, he said that he will call and let me know about the result of the interview, but that never happened.

Should I follow-up with the Employer after this incident? I am in desperate need for a job, but nothing seems to be working out. Any suggestions?
