Hello,
I am a 28 year old mother of one. I currently work as a property accountant at a real estate brokerage firm. I kind of just fell into doing office work and accounting work by accident. I was a waitress less than 5 years ago. I have no degree and minimal college experience, just a good head for numbers and a few lucky breaks. But, I never purposefully went into accounting for a reason. I am bored out of my mind. I love the company I work for now and have worked for for just over a year. But, staring at Excel spreadsheets day in and day out is wearing on me and I need to get out. But, I also need to make at least $20/hour in order to make the same amount of money.
Plus, I have absolutely no idea what else to do. I love baking and have worked as a cake decorator in the past. That was probably my favorite job ever. But, finding a full time cake decorator/baker position that pays well is near to impossible. I would love to do something like wildlife photographer or anything that actually allows me to be outside and experience life while I work, but, I have no idea even where to begin with something like that.
I feel very stuck and very bored and very frustrated. If anyone has any ideas for something I could do, I am open to any and all suggestions. Thank you.
