Hi All
Here is the current state of play:
- Live in Australia, am 27 years old
- Closing on 10 years IT experience, have worked since 15, have been in IT since 18
- My current job title is an Architect, have around 3 years experience with this role
- Joined my employer from networking in my old role, get along with the CEO like he is a mate
- Asked for $100k per year and he didn’t raise an eyebrow, just responded “done” when I started at the start of this year
- I have worked on 6 large clients this year and have only been on the bench for two weeks
- Have delivered an enormous amount of work across the year and received hugely positive feedback from all clients, now get asked for by name
- He would like me to manage this regional office as we grow here over the next year/s
- Market average for an architect in Melbourne is $130k
We are doing performance and appraisal next month - I want to up my package to the market average of $130k
Thoughts? What would you say/do? Am I being too hopeful in wanting that high of an increase less then 12 months after commencement?
