Applied to jobs immediately after I got laid off, but said I was still working there. Would a background check reveal my detailed employment history?
I got laid off a few weeks ago and I immediately started applying for new jobs. This is my second lay off due to company reduction in force in a row. I did it for 2 reasons: fear that my 2 lay offs are a red flag and potential better salary negotiation.
I’ve now made it through a few times rounds of interview for 2 job positions. I haven’t revealed that I’ve actually been laid off and I’ve also started collecting unemployment benefits for the time being. If I end up getting the offer, would they see that I lied?
