A Confusing time of Opportunities - Follow up.

Hello once again r/jobs, for those who read my post a few weeks ago, i had mentioned I was contemplating leaving job after I was growing tired of the industry I was working in (Security). My company had potentially offered me a position with their electronic security division and a network installation company gave me a part time job opportunity as well. I was told by you guys to check the meeting out that was to happen the following week and then make a decision on which job to take and since then, things have changed.

The meeting with the elections division DID NOT happen. In fact, it never seemed to even be a consideration as I didn't hear anything the week prior I was waiting for it. No call, no email or text following up with a time to meet during that week, and I missed a day I could have used for working with the Networking company.

I had also done my first day with the new Network company who had reached out to me. The work was great, it was physical, a little dirty and lots of walking, but I loved it, I felt energized and useful when I was working that job and the manager is more than happy to give me full time once my school course is done.

The problem is, I really don't want to keep working my current job, it ruins my Sundays and destories my Monday morning, making me miss my first lecture because I work till midnight Monday. I discussed this with my folks what to do, but they suggest I hold off for another three weeks (the last three of my course) and then quit because I'm still getting benefits with my current job. My thought is to wait till I have two weeks left and then submit my resignation, but I'm not sure.

The other issue is my union dental has an appointment for me in early January, if I quit, do I lose that appointment? Who would I talk to about that?

Thanks for your help guy's and gals.
