23 yo college dropout mechanic needs career advice

I’m having a tough time deciding what direction I should be going with my career. I am a 23 year old automotive technician that has some college. No official associates degree but my amount of college credits are equivalent to one. I’m making $18/hr flat rate, but only pulling about 20-25 hours each week. There are several job openings I’m interested in but they are desk jobs which is something I never wanted to do. These desk jobs could lead to management positions in the automotive field or higher up R&D positions. My problem lies in the fact that I love what I do, but it doesn’t pay the bills and my debt is starting to crush me very early on in my adult life which is scary. I’m comfortable at my job, and I am still working on completing all my certifications. I am hesitant to quit my current job without finishing all my certifications because I feel as if going to a new job and starting over may set me back when it comes to experience which is huge in the automotive industry. Just feeling kind of lost on what to do here. Any advice is appreciated.
